Here are some questions to ask your child.
Ask your child about Morning Routines
• Ask your child to what the word “routine” means.
o Regular, a habit, or a practice.
• Ask your child what kind of things he should get done each morning, to complete his morning routine.
o Get up on time, eat breakfast, brush teeth, get dressed, get backpack and lunch, etc…
• Ask your child what you can do to help him start his new routine tomorrow.
Ask your child about Evening Routines:
• Ask your child to what the word “routine” means.
o Regular, a habit, or a practice.
• Ask your child the purpose of an evening routine.
o So you do not have so much to do in the morning.
• Ask your child what kind of things he should get done each evening.
o Bathe, make lunch or get lunch money together, ask parents to sign papers, brush teeth, lay out clothes for the next day, get backpack packed, read books, etc…
• Ask your child what you can do to help him start his new routine this evening.
Ask your child the following about Getting his Room Organized:
• Ask your child what he can do to make his room more organized.
• Ask your child what the three piles are when you are cleaning out your closet and room.
o Keep pile, give away pile, throw-out/recycle pile.
• Ask your child if towels belong in their room, or in their bathroom, hung up on the towel rack.
Ask your child the following about getting his Clothing Organized:
• Ask your child if his drawers are nice and neat, and if it is easy to find what he needs?
• Is your closet nice and organized, with things hung up, and nothing on the floor?
To get your clothes organized when they come out of the dryer, should you should hang them up and put them in your drawers right away, or keep everything in the laundry basket?
