This week's themes are new at Mrs. McVeigh's Manners! They are pets and hotels.

Hotels
Ask your child the following questions about hotels:
• When in a hotel, should you act like it is your house, or that you are a guest in someone else’s house?
o A guest in someone else’s house.
• Do you tip the person who takes your luggage?
o Yes.
• Do you tip the person who checks you in at the front desk?
o No.
• Should you use a low voice, or a loud voice, in a hotel?
o Low voice.

Pets
Ask your child the following questions about pets:
• Should you pet an animal while they are eating?
o No.
• Should you ask someone before you pet their dog?
o Yes.
• Should you ever say anything bad about someone’s pet?
o No.
