Elise McVeigh
HEAD TEACHER & CURRICULUM CREATOR
Elise McVeigh started Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners classes for children in 2003. She started as a speaker in 2001, and one of her topics includes etiquette. During one of her speeches, a member of the audience suggested she create manner’s classes for children.
As the Mrs. McVeigh’s program has grown, so has the curriculum and her staff. Mrs. McVeigh is proud to have taught thousands of children her fun and simple method of learning and remembering good manners. She has created original workbooks, story books, check-off charts, helpful placemats, and has created numerous manner’s games.
Leslie Agouridis
DIRECTOR OF CLASS OPERATIONS
Leslie Agouridis is a Licensed Practical Counselor who worked in medical social work prior to moving to Dallas and starting a family. After being a stay-at-home mom and professional volunteer for years, she reentered the working world when her two sons left for college.
Ceslyn Mathis
INSTRUCTOR
Ceslyn Mathis taught in the Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD for 22 years as a second grade classroom teacher. When her long-time friend Elise McVeigh came to her with her idea of developing a Manners Program for children, she was in agreement that this was something that children needed.

Sue Bathon
INSTRUCTOR
Sue Bathon is the main instructor for Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners in Frisco. Sue was born and raised in New Jersey and has lived in many different states. She has called Frisco home since 2016. Sue has worked in many different fields and currently owns her own baking business, Sue the Baker.
Gretel Shipley
INSTRUCTOR
Gretel grew up in Dallas and attended Texas A&M with her husband.
She began teaching for Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners in 2019 after sending her daughters to one of Elise’s summer camps.
Adrienne Lam
INSTRUCTOR
Adrienne Lam, born and raised in Dallas, serves as an Instructor for Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners classes.
She is a kindergarten aide and substitute teacher at St. Monica school, as well as a JCDA leader for both 4th and 7th grade.
Beth Elder
INSTRUCTOR
Beth grew up in San Angelo, Texas. She graduated from SMU with a degree in the Arts. Beth is married to Jim Elder.
They have three grown children, Jake and twin daughters, Adele (married to Jay 8/28/21) and Ellen (married to Jackson 4/24/21).
Sue Bathon
INSTRUCTOR
Sue Bathon is the main instructor for Mrs. McVeigh’s Manners in Frisco. Sue was born and raised in New Jersey and has lived in many different states. She has called Frisco home since 2016. Sue has worked in many different fields and currently owns her own baking business, Sue the Baker.
ABBEY BATES
INSTRUCTOR
Abbey was raised in Canyon, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising and from SMU with a Masters of Education.
Abbey taught Kindergarten in Highland Park I.S.D.
Abbey’s hobbies outside of teaching include Pilates, Spin Cycle, biking, traveling with friends and family.
